The United States Mint is gearing up for the release of the much-anticipated 2024 Proof Morgan and Peace Silver Dollars. Struck at San Francisco, the coins will both be available today beginning at 12pm EST for $95.00 each.
Dated-2024, the Morgan Silver Dollar will feature the ‘S’ mint mark on the reverse and will be comprised of 0.859 troy ounces of .999 fine silver. Struck in a stunning Proof finish, the famed Morgan Silver Dollar, designed by George T. Morgan, features Liberty in profile on the obverse with a cap, flora, and crown incused with the world LIBERTY on her head. E PLURIBUS UNUM is inscribed along the design's top curve while 13 stars and the date are along the rest of the outer rim. The reverse depicts an eagle with outstretched wings holding onto arrows and an olive branch with the addition of a wreath. UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, IN GOD WE TRUST, and ONE DOLLAR, are inscribed along the outer edge.
Limited to 25 per household initially with a product limit of 300,000, the 2024 S Proof Morgan Silver Dollar will come in a blue presentation box, differing from the years prior black presentation boxes. It will also be accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
The 2024-dated Proof Peace Dollar will feature the ‘S’ mint mark on the reverse and is comprised of 0.859 troy ounces of .999 fine silver. The coin, designed by Anthony de Francisci, features Liberty in profile with a crown on the obverse. Seen inscribed around her are the words LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRUST, and 2024. The reverse depicts an eagle holding an olive branch with PEACE inscribed below and UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, and ONE DOLLAR also inscribed along the top.
Also limited to 25 per household initially, it will have a 300,000-product limit and come in a blue presentation case with a Certificate of Authenticity.
